In the historical town of Melaka, in historical Jonker Street, is a shop which serves chendol to the many tourists who prowl that area.
At anytime of the day during opening hours of the shop, there is a steady queue of people queueing for the chendol, no doubt thanks to the many bloggers who blogged and raved about it. I was in Melaka recently and believing what the bloggers wrote, queued up with the rest of the schmucks and with high anticipation tried the chendol after I got it and boy was I disappointed. Any normal chendol sold by the roadsides in PJ tastes better than that. Once again it goes to show that most food bloggers are born without tastebuds on their tongues.

The Aunty Curry Mee Stall
There was one Aunty Curry Mee stall at Kepong, Taman Bukit Maluri. Of course she not only sell curry mee, she sells kon lo mee, qing tong mee, and wan tan mee. She sells in the night while her relatives sells in the morning. Due to lack of choices in the night, I visit that place almost every week eventhough the food there is quite common.
There was one time while I was eating curry mee there, and usually I eat sambal with the curry mee. When I try to take the sambal from the container, I found there are maggots in the container!! Wah, I have maggotinsambalphobia after that incident! Until now I don't dare to look into the sambal container wherever I go.
Just few days ago, I thought of eating the aunty's curry mee again, but when I reached there, the stall was closed. I passed by that place for few times on different days, the stall was still closed. To my conclusion, the aunty stall has closed down.
Perhaps the reason being is - The Food there sucks!

The mamak that is a holding company
That night, I went to one mamak restaurant at OUG. It was so called one of the best mamak restaurant in town with the best roti canai, mee goreng and teh tarik. The restaurant is named after someone's name and has another branch at pandan indah. They even have a website.
When I arrived there, no tables were cleaned up for us. All tables were with empty glasses or plates on it. I thought it was fine because that was a mamak restaurant and I shouldn't expect much from it.
When I got myself settled down on a table, I picked up the menu on the table and find that there are a lot of food avaiable! I thought I came to a right place to eat! When I asked what is listed in the menu, the waiter responded "Takda". When I picked another one, the waiter responded again "Takda, another branch got". Pick on another again, what I got is "Takda, pagi baru ada". I wanted to argue that the menu stated it's available during this hour but I just kept quiet. So, I just simply chose "Sup Kambing" - Lamb soup.
While I was waiting for the food, there was one small cockroach taking a walk on the wall. It was a shock to me cause the menu said the restaurant had won the "Cleanest Restaurant" few years back! Perhaps they should be taken out from the title.
The soup came, and it was salty enough to ask for a drink if you hadn't order one. Is it their business tactic or what? Reminds me of the Stephen Chow's movie, "The God of Cookery", where he asked his employee to add as much ice into the drink and fry the chicken as dry as possible.
I think I would never return to the same restaurant again...

That mega stalls place at Taman Megah
Many many people are seen every night at that big square in Taman Megah stuffing their faces and drinking watered down fruit juices in gigantic mugs.
I've actually read a chain email recommending that place as it has the most things to eat there. Wei hello Mr Dumbass who wrote that email, don't you know there's a frigging difference between good food or lots of food? You should be have a pineapple shoved up your ass for even telling people about that place. I've been there and not one, NOT ONE, of the stalls, serves any food which is palatable.
I've not been there for 3 years.

That so call famous cake restaurant
You know this cake restaurant has been growing like mushroom for the pass few years. Everywhere you go, you see them. They are at every nook of KV and they claim their Recipe is special lah...cause it's Secret mah.
I was at one of it's franchise at Tesco Mutiara and I must tell you that the food I ordered was a big big turn down. I ordered the Roasted Chicken with Tumeric Sauce. The chicken was cold. Not only that, it was so hard, tasted more like the chicken been fried for umpteen times. Yucks yucks...I've never tasted such a horrible tasting chicken before.
I hope it's only that franchise having this hard chicken problem. I think it is lah...when I was there, there isn't anyone there.....the restaurant was empty, can you imagine that? Such a famous restaurant can be empty...must be something wrong liao.

That eatery in One Utama new wing LG floor
If you go to One Utama new wing LG floor there's an eatery which is named after a public transportation station of a town in a southern state of Malaysia. Went there when it first opened, and ordered some nasi lemak, toast and coffee. The fried chicken which came with the nasi lemak was as dry and hard as a piece of stick, the sambal was sweet and not spicy at all. The peanuts were fried until black, eating them were as harmful as smoking 3 packs of cigarrettes in a single day. The toast with kaya and butter were acceptable. The coffee isn't that great. I never went back there. But every weekend the place is packed with Klang Valley folks stuffing their faces. Goes to show KV folks have bad taste.

That big pizza place along LDP
If you drive along the LDP PJ side, there's this joint with a huge ass signage advertising it's pizza. Went there when it first opened, and ordered some pasta and some pizza and this grilled chicken wing thingie. Pizza was flat (and before you say pizzas are supposed to be flat, I meant flat as in the taste was flat you smartass), pasta taste was flat (there, happy?) and that grilled chicken wing thingie was not fully cooked!!! Told the water about it, he took it back to the kitchen, came back 20 minutes later, and that grilled chicken thingie was STILL NOT FULLY COOKED!!! I didn't want to send it back to the kitchen again and asked for the bill. I never went back there.
