The Aunty Curry Mee Stall

There was one Aunty Curry Mee stall at Kepong, Taman Bukit Maluri. Of course she not only sell curry mee, she sells kon lo mee, qing tong mee, and wan tan mee. She sells in the night while her relatives sells in the morning. Due to lack of choices in the night, I visit that place almost every week eventhough the food there is quite common.

There was one time while I was eating curry mee there, and usually I eat sambal with the curry mee. When I try to take the sambal from the container, I found there are maggots in the container!! Wah, I have maggotinsambalphobia after that incident! Until now I don't dare to look into the sambal container wherever I go.

Just few days ago, I thought of eating the aunty's curry mee again, but when I reached there, the stall was closed. I passed by that place for few times on different days, the stall was still closed. To my conclusion, the aunty stall has closed down.
Perhaps the reason being is - The Food there sucks!

The mamak that is a holding company

That night, I went to one mamak restaurant at OUG. It was so called one of the best mamak restaurant in town with the best roti canai, mee goreng and teh tarik. The restaurant is named after someone's name and has another branch at pandan indah. They even have a website.

When I arrived there, no tables were cleaned up for us. All tables were with empty glasses or plates on it. I thought it was fine because that was a mamak restaurant and I shouldn't expect much from it.

When I got myself settled down on a table, I picked up the menu on the table and find that there are a lot of food avaiable! I thought I came to a right place to eat! When I asked what is listed in the menu, the waiter responded "Takda". When I picked another one, the waiter responded again "Takda, another branch got". Pick on another again, what I got is "Takda, pagi baru ada". I wanted to argue that the menu stated it's available during this hour but I just kept quiet. So, I just simply chose "Sup Kambing" - Lamb soup.

While I was waiting for the food, there was one small cockroach taking a walk on the wall. It was a shock to me cause the menu said the restaurant had won the "Cleanest Restaurant" few years back! Perhaps they should be taken out from the title.

The soup came, and it was salty enough to ask for a drink if you hadn't order one. Is it their business tactic or what? Reminds me of the Stephen Chow's movie, "The God of Cookery", where he asked his employee to add as much ice into the drink and fry the chicken as dry as possible.

I think I would never return to the same restaurant again...

Verdict : The food there sucks!!!!
